Resident Profile: Charles & Leneta Moore

Dancing is important to Houston Springs resident Charles Moore. In fact, it's how he met his wife, Leneta.

The two met at a social event in Jacksonville nearly 30 years ago when she asked him to dance and the two have been dancing together ever since.

The couple, who moved to the active adult community almost three years ago, continues to capture the attention of their Houston Springs neighbors every time they hit the dance floor.

"We dance 3-4 times per week," said Charles, a retired engineer and formally trained dance teacher. "The Brazilian samba is out specialty."

In addition to wowing friends, the Moores perform in dance exhibitions/ benefits throughout Macon and Warner Robins.

According to Charles, they chose to move to Houston Springs after an extensive search of homes from Maryland to Texas. The active adult community appealed to him because “it's private, secure and quiet and we can come and go as we please".
